I love it. It's 50% Deus Ex goodness and 50% DX2 done right.
As a minor minus point I guess it might take the "darker and edgier" theme too far. Among other things. I haven't finished the game yet, tho'
As a major minus point it does use a proprietary engine with no editing capabilities. Cursed be those French-Canadien bastards!
(oh and I'm that guy who hung around the chat from 2004 'til 2008)

Hey Nikumubeki, how you been?
Deus Ex HR is definitely an amazing game. A lot of us are really liking the game. I think it's done a really good job of bringing the Deus Ex mechanics into modern gaming.
Are you playing it on PC or consoles?

Heya, Wazzit and tofu. I just started my studies again (after 3 years of working) and then I've still got my DX mod to finish before Jan 1st 2013.
I've got the PC version, which is why the lack of editing possibilities does infuriate me a bit. I guess it's a part of the current unfortunate trend of game devs not supporting the modding community anymore. After all, if you can make stuff like DX Unreal Revolution for an 11-year-old game, well, I'm certain DX3 would have much more potential.

I really, really liked it. The whole backdrop story and the themes and characters were actually way more compelling than the original. The ending really flopped, but otherwise I thought overall it was outstanding, bumped Witcher 2 from my GotY for this year pick.
