There is now a dedicated 24/7 Minecraft server – Grev's was basically 24/7 and was great as a start but the new one has less lag issues and hey now grev can finally turn his pc off :) Big thanks to grev for hosting it up until now!

So far I've noticed zero chunk errors on the new server and drake's train system is now working a lot better. The server is whitelisted to keep it ites only, post your MC username here or pm me, waz or grev on irc to get added. So far I have me, waz, grev, drake and arby on the list.

Once added, the new Server IP is 8.17.252.130:28265. I'll put up some screenshots of what has been built so far on the weekend….people been busy.

Spawn Fort…..well not really spawn anymore, for some reason the world spawn point moved east at some point, which was pretty amusing when Wazzit died and had no fucking idea where he was. Anyway, let's just call it "Home Fort" this is really the first "town" built and was made by basically all of us. It also has a massive cave system under it that is likely still not fully explored.

Aforementioned huge cave system. I've since found another couple a bit bigger, but this one is still pretty crazy and goes on forever.

Drac's awesome train line which connects (almost) all the inhabited areas of the map.

I've been moving steadily westward, this is Cardia (ha!) a desert theme town I built on top of a huge sand mountain at the western end of Drac's train line.

Lastly my latest project, a new frontier town which as you can see from the map is a loooong way from everything else. All of the walls, roads, etc are complete and I've made a couple of buildings, but the rest of the land I'll leave vacant so people can build whatever homes/buildings they want. Oh, it also has probably the largest caverns I've yet seen directly under it (it's the main reason for the town location) and I've mined very little of it.

Next projects? I've talked to grev about the idea of building a huge city underground (god knows some of the caverns are big enough), but right now I need to find another desert environment for something else :)

yay remembered my logins finally. LEt me know if you guys have any trouble logging in. I am currently quite sick and not at home, but I can still access the server control panel and fix anything.

Yeah sorry was away till yesterday. Restarting the server seemed to fix it…..I think.
